Suzuki Camp

The daily core curriculum for Suzuki violin, viola, cello, and guitar students:

 

Private Lesson Masterclass

In this small group of 3-4, students take turns working individually with the teacher, and observing the other students' lesson time. 

 

Group Repertoire Class

Larger groups of 8-15 students that are grouped by level and focus on Suzuki repertoire, building technique, and developing ensemble skills in a fun environment. 

 

Musicianship or Large Ensemble

Students are placed according to their playing & reading level in:

• Musicianship/Theory Games (pre-readers)

• Beginning Reading Orchestra (beginner)

• Blue Ridge Orchestra (intermediate)

• Sinfonia (advanced)

• Guitar Reading Ensemble.

 

Elective Class (optional)

Most students register for an additional elective or two, depending on their age and level.  Options include fiddling, improvisation, celtic cello, early childhood music & movement, folk dancing, beginning guitar, beginning violin for adults, guitar improvisation, and chamber music.
