Shrine Mont Camp & Conference Center, in Orkney Springs, Virginia - a small community nestled among the trees at the foot of Great North Mountain.  Since the 1800s when guests came to the elegant and historic Orkney Springs hotel to take advantage of the healthful natural springs, the town has been a vacation getaway.  Well-known to music lovers, Orkney Springs is also home to the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival.

 

Since 1925 the hotel and surrounding facilities have been owned by the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. Shrine Mont Camp and Conference Center is truly a “place apart,” where families can enjoy the charm of days past, along with many modern amenities.

Inside the elegant four-story hotel are parlors and classrooms, a lobby with tables for working or playing games, a grand ballroom for concerts and ensemble rehearsals, the camp office, a gift shop, and dining room.

The closest airport is Dulles International Airport which is about a 90-minute drive to camp.

By car we are approximately 100 miles from Washington, D.C., 175 miles from Richmond, 140 miles from Roanoke, and 225 miles from Greensboro, NC.

From Interstate 81, take Exit 273 to Mt. Jackson, Virginia. 

Follow Rt. 263 west 13 miles to Orkney Springs.
