Blue Ridge Suzuki Camp

Text Box: Welcome to the Blue Ridge Suzuki Camp! We offer a concentrated week of music study and recreation for Suzuki students and their families in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley region. Now in our 15th year, the camp has developed a reputation for its outstanding faculty, community-oriented atmosphere, and beautiful location. Enrollment is open to violin, viola, cello and guitar students at all levels of the Suzuki repertoire, from ages three through adult. Many students return with their families year after year, eventually attending as teen campers. The daily curriculum includes private lesson masterclasses, group classes, orchestra or music mind games, and elective classes such as chamber music, fiddling, dancing, and improvisation. We also offer a slightly longer and more focused chamber music program for advanced students. All students are given the opportunity to perform on a solo recital, and to take part in the fun evening activities. There are ample opportunities for recreation, including a large outdoor pool, tennis courts, basketball, miles of scenic hiking and biking trails, and much open space for children to play together. Students of all ages and levels have the opportunity to further their skills and love of music in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Parents have the opportunity to learn and share ideas, and to enjoy special time with their children and other families. The week together provides motivation, learning, and enjoyment for all.
